and Russians, apparently. It was strange to visit a place with perhaps
more Russian than English and even stranger to hear Chinese vendors
speak to you in Russian. As for the Russians themselves, they are always
paying the asking price or guilt-tripping you for only knowing one
language.
Anyway, this is how we got there.
sized space except sleep. It's either sleep or holler at your neighbor in
Cantonese. An unanticipated 25 hours later (Travel Scrabble and
Doxylamine Succinate to the rescue!) we arrived in glorious, glorious
Sanya.
who you may meet there, or rather, you never know who will be asleep
in their underwear in the other bunk when you wake up. We met people
at the Blue Sky from Switzerland, Australia, China, Holland, America,
and Russia!
It was a lovely vacation. We did some serious beach time... yes, that's
me on the far right.
...and made some new friends.

All in all it was great and I am still finding sand in my hair. More to come
