drive my car

From what I can gather, some rules of Chinese traffic.

1. Everyone (your dog, your kid, your mother) and everything (your
ladder, your computer, your mountain of recyclables, your livelihood)
can be carried on your bike or mo-ped as long as you have a batting
helmet helmet and your coat on backwards pinned with a binder clip.
And maybe some jumper cables.

2. Stopsigns = optional.

3. Drive at breakneck speed as often as possible. Unless you are driving
a vehicle that actually needs to get there in a hurry, such as an ambulance.
Then drive extremely slow.

The only accident I've ever seen here.

4. Just do it.

5. If you're happy/angry/in a hurry/alarmed/there and you know it,
honk your horn.

6. When you are walking to the bus stop from breakfast innocently minding
your own baozi and there is no sidewalk and the giant early-morning
street sweeping monster comes beeping slash roaring down the gutter
to vacuum you up into its dusty depths, dive for the median. *From
personal experience*

7. Do what you can when you can even if you can't.

*Note: the rules of Chinese traffic apply to Chinese nationals only. Any
attempt to follow said rules (except in some cases #6) by a foreigner is
sure to result in a chewing out by one or more complete strangers.*
